Support % for Animals
The Percent for Animals Program offers an easy way for businesses and fundraising groups to support AC&C’s special programs . . .

FACCS is pleased to announce a new initiative called Percent for Animals. This program was inspired by Percent for the Arts, a nationwide program in support of the arts. Through Percent for the Arts cities designate a percent (generally ½ -3) of a building’s budget to pay for public artwork to enhance that building. Percent for Animals provides a means for businesses, fundraising groups, and civic organizations to support Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (AC&C) by making regular donations to FACCs. Participating groups pledge to donate a percentage of their sales or a pre-determined amount on a monthly or quarterly basis. The program has been designed to simplify charitable giving and enable organizations to spread their donations throughout the year.

All money raised by Percent for Animals supports AC&C’s special programs. AC&C is part of Maricopa County but does not receive any direct funding from the county. So, they are responsible for obtaining their own operating funds. If you like, you can direct your contributions to specific programs such as: The Big Fix - provides low-cost spay/neuter programs to eligible pet owners, STAR (Special Treatment and Recovery) - provides needed medical care to animals that historically would have been euthanized due to illness or injury.

Participating organizations will enjoy the following benefits as a thank you for their support:

  • Mention on the FACCs website
  • Mention in media communications
  • Mention in mailings to donor base announcing the promotion

    Your group’s participation in Percent for Animals can help AC&C achieve their vision to achieve no-kill status in Maricopa County within the next five years and celebrate the time when all adoptable dogs and cats they rescue will find a loving, lifetime home!

    What can you do to help?

    There are many ways in which you can get involved to help make a difference in our community.


    Donate to FACC's-Friends of Animal Care & Control

    Individual or Corporate Gifts
    Make a personal or corporate gift by cash, check, VISA, or Mastercard. If you'd like to donate on behalf of a friend, with a gift of $20 or more, we'll send her an acknowledgement that a special donation has been made in her name. Also, don't forget to check with your organization to see if they will provide matching funds for your contribution or volunteer hours.

    Workplace Campaigns
    Designate FACCs as your charity of choice in your workplace charitable campaign program. Simply fill out the section located at the bottom of the form to direct your contributions to FACCs and Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.

    Memorials
    Do you have a special person or pet you'd like to honor? Donations made in memory of an individual or pet will be listed in the FACCs section of the AC&C quarterly newsletter.

    Bequests
    Where there's a will, there's a way. Naming FACCs in your will ensures that your desire to help animals will continue on long after you're gone. You can name FACCs as a direct beneficiary of specific assets or a portion of your estate, or you can name FACCs as a contingent beneficiary to receive those assets for your loved ones in the event they do not survive you.

    Automobile Donations
    Do you have an old car that you've been wondering what to do about? Donate it to FACCs and we'll turn your car into cash for animals. For more information, please contact us at info@azfaccs.org.




    Sponsor a Program
    We can help you learn how to put together your own campaign to raise money for one of the special programs listed below. Just e-mail us and and we'll send you a package that includes instructions, forms, and ideas for launching your own personal fundraising campaign.

    • The Big Fix - Provides free spay and neuter days for low or no-income families. On these days, up to 200 animals will be sterilized on a first come-first served basis.

    • The The Spay/Neuter Voucher Program - The Spay/Neuter Voucher Program provides vouchers for free spay and neuter surgeries at clinics around the Valley.
