Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) is a full service animal agency that offers our community many valuable programs and services. Their mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of people and pets in Maricopa County.

It’s also important to note that MCACC is the second largest municipal animal shelter in the country (second only to Los Angeles). MCACC shelters take in approximately 55,000 animals a year—that’s an average of 150 unwanted puppies, dogs, cat and kittens EVERY DAY!

MCACC operates two, full service Animal Care Centers. Both locations provide shelter for lost and stray animals, and provide valuable services to the entire valley, including adoption services, animal licensing, rabies vaccinations, and more.

For more information about MCACC and to see pets available for adoption, visit their website.
