FACCs is a volunteer-run organization. We are always looking for committed volunteers who are willing to help. We currently have the following opportunities available:

  • Thrift Shop – sort and stock donations, assist customers.
  • Special events – various responsibilities depending on the event, i.e., greet guests, provide information, help set up/tear down.

The first step to becomming a FACCs volunteer is to attend a volunteer orientation at Animal Care & Control. For information on upcoming orientations, please see the "how you can help" section on AC&C's web site. If you would like more information about volunteer opportunities with FACCs, please contact us at info@azfaccs.org.

If you are interested in volunteering directly with the animals, then Animal Care & Control is the perfect place for you! AC&C takes in approximately 55,000 dogs and cats each year. Volunteers enable the organization to give the animals the care and attention they need and deserve.

AC&C has a wide range of volunteer positions and shifts available at the East and West Valley Centers. Many shifts take place during normal businesses hours. But there are also various opportunities that fall outside of business hours, such as caring for pets at an off-site adoption event. The minimum age to volunteer is 16 (teens under 18 must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian and may not work directly with the animals).

It's easy to become an AC&C volunteer. Simply select your area of interest complete a Volunteer Registration Form, and then attend a brief orientation. After that, you will most likely attend additional training that relates to your position. Orientation and training are held at both the East and West Valley Centers. For full details, please visit AC&C's web site.
