Volunteer for Friends of Animal Care & Control!

Looking for a rewarding experience? Consider giving of your time and volunteering at the "Friends" Thrift Store! The store is run primarily by volunteers and we are always in need of help. Retail experience is a plus, but not necessary! Duties include sorting donations, pricing items, stocking shelves, greeting customers or running the register. We also need enthusiastic volunteers to help us at our annual fundraising events. Duties vary from event set-up and tear-down, to guest registration and silent auction assistants.

Volunteer at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control!

MCACC shelters take in over 150 homeless animals every day and they need your support to save lives. Volunteers enable MCACC to give homeless animals the care and attention they need and deserve. Volunteers are needed on a daily basis to care for shelter animals. Duties vary from walking dogs to matching a family with their new kitten. Volunteers are also needed to provide temporary foster homes for sick or underage animals, assist at mobile adoption events, offer clerical and administrative assistance to MCACC staff, and much more!

Anyone interested in volunteering for "Friends" or MCACC, must attend a minimum of one MCACC volunteer orientation. Those wishing to volunteer at MCACC shelters may be required to attend further training sessions.
